Choose Mimestream if

Every account you have is Gmail, you want Gmail's own features (labels, categories, filters) through the Gmail API, and you want an app built only for the Mac. It runs on macOS 12 Monterey and later.

Choose Superhuman if

Your team is on Gmail or Outlook and wants AI inside the mail app: Superhuman's Email Assistant sorts incoming mail, drafts replies in your voice and reminds you to follow up. Its Mail MCP, which lets Claude or ChatGPT reach your Superhuman mail, comes with the Business and Enterprise plans.

When neither fits: other accounts, or your own AI agent

  • You have more than Gmail and Outlook. Postage puts iCloud, Fastmail, Yahoo and work domains in one inbox, next to Gmail.
  • You already use Claude Code, Claude Desktop or Codex. They connect to Postage's MCP server with the accounts they're signed in to. They search, sort and draft; you press Send. See how to connect Claude to your email.
  • You'd rather pay once. $39, no subscription, no per-member price.
