Support
Email hello@greatwork.company. A person reads it, usually within a day. Include your macOS version and which build you have (direct or Mac App Store).
Add an email account
Open Postage, choose Add Account and enter your address. iCloud, Gmail, Fastmail, Outlook and custom IMAP and SMTP servers work. For providers that require it, create an app-specific password in your provider's account settings and use that. Postage stores credentials in your Keychain. Sending requires an encrypted connection (TLS on 465 or STARTTLS on 587); Postage refuses to send credentials in plain text.
Connect an agent
In Postage, open Integrations and turn on the MCP server, then pick your client. Postage shows the exact command or config with your token filled in. The full list, with what each access level allows, is on the Agents page. Example for Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http --scope user postage http://127.0.0.1:47913/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_POSTAGE_TOKEN"Agent troubleshooting
- The client cannot connect. Check that Postage is running and the MCP server is on. It only runs while the app is open. Confirm the port matches (default 47913).
- 401 or unauthorized. The token is wrong or was revoked. Copy the command again from Integrations.
- A tool is missing. The client's access level does not include it. Raise the level for that client in Integrations.
- A send never happens. Sends wait for your approval. Look for the confirmation sheet in Postage.
- Claude Desktop shows an error. The config uses
npx, so Node.js must be installed. Restart Claude Desktop after editing its config.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need an API key for my agent to use Postage?
No. Claude Code, Codex, Claude Desktop, Cursor and the other clients connect to Postage with the sign-in they already have. You only add an API key if you want Postage's own rules to use Anthropic, OpenAI or a compatible provider. Apple Intelligence needs no key at all.
Can an agent send email without asking me?
No. When an agent asks to send, Postage opens a confirmation sheet with Send, Edit and Cancel. The agent waits for your answer. Agents can write drafts without a prompt.
Is the MCP server reachable from the internet?
No. It listens on 127.0.0.1 only (default port 47913, changeable in Postage's Advanced settings). There is no network mode. Each client gets its own revocable token.
What if an email tries to give my agent instructions?
Message bodies are returned to agents wrapped as untrusted content, and the server tells the agent so. Combined with read-only or organize-only access and the send confirmation, a hostile email has very little to work with.
Which email providers work?
Any IMAP and SMTP account: iCloud, Gmail, Fastmail, Outlook and your own domain. Mail goes straight between your Mac and your provider.
What does it cost?
$39 one-time when you buy from this site, or $39.99 on the Mac App Store. No subscription, no free tier, 30-day refund.
Which macOS versions are supported?
macOS 15.7 Sequoia or later. Apple Intelligence features need a Mac that supports it.
Is there an iPhone or Windows version?
No. Postage is Mac only.
How do I get a refund or a lost download link?
Email hello@greatwork.company within 30 days for a refund. If you bought from this site, the download page can send you back to your link with the email you used at checkout. Mac App Store purchases are handled by Apple.
